 MONASTERY SAN FRANCIS ASSISI (Poor Clares) - VILA NOVA DE FAMALICÃO

The Monastery of St. Francis of Assisi was founded in 1976 on 21 November. The house was donated by Monsignor Francisco Assis to the Franciscans to the cult of the Blessed Sacrament, of course inside the Order only the Poor Clares could respond fully to this request. Right now there are 17 sisters from various parts of the country. It is a fairly prosperous monastery vocational level for the days a little complicated we live. Our charism is the worship of the Most Holy that is always exposed in our chapel, community life and fraternal life. Welcoming my sister as a gift that the MIGHTY sent to us. We performed handiwork of embroidery, both the machine and by hand, thirds, cards, candles and communion wafers.
